The Role

Are you passionate about cybersecurity and ready to make a real impact? Join our IT Security team at the Law Society and help protect our systems and infrastructure from ever-evolving cyber threats.

As an IT Security Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in monitoring security logs, investigating breaches, and implementing strong security measures to keep our organisation safe. You’ll work closely with our IT Security Manager and colleagues across the organisation, including senior leaders, to ensure we stay ahead of potential risks and vulnerabilities.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll have the opportunity to grow, learn, and contribute to key security initiatives while making a tangible difference.

What we're looking for

We’re looking for someone with a strong technical foundation, a curious mindset, and a drive to solve problems. Here’s what you’ll need to succeed:

  • A degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or practical experience in a similar role.
  • Solid knowledge of security tools like SIEM, Microsoft Defender, and vulnerability management systems.
  • Experience working in a Security Operations Centre (SOC) or similar environment.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, or the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, or CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CSA+) are a bonus.
  • Strong communication skills—you’ll be collaborating with people across the organisation, from technical teams to senior leaders.

What's in it for you

This is an excellent opportunity to work with contemporary thinkers in a progressive membership organisation. The successful candidate will join a strong brand with a reputation for excellence and legal expertise, committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, and a culture of trust, clarity, excellence and respect.

We offer hybrid working a generous flexible benefits package, a friendly working environment and the opportunity to develop your career within a professional organisation.

Please note: if you are an internal applicant, Pay Policy will apply.

The Law Society represents solicitors in England and Wales. From negotiating with and lobbying the profession's regulators, government and other decision makers, to offering training and advice, we're here to help, protect and promote solicitors.
