The Role

As Membership Engagement & Services Administrator, you will provide essential administrative support to the Membership Engagement and Services Team, helping to deliver a high-quality experience for our members. You will play a key role in coordinating member meetings, events and roundtables, ensuring activities are well organised, professionally delivered and effectively followed up.

Working closely with colleagues and members, you will schedule meetings, prepare agendas and supporting materials, take accurate minutes, track actions and help manage member enquiries. You will also support engagement activities through desk research, maintaining member records and insights, managing filing systems and repositories, and administering internal finance processes. This is a varied role that offers the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of operational and member-focused initiatives across the team.

What we're looking for

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative and purpose-driven team that plays an important role in building and strengthening relationships with members across the legal sector. You will gain exposure to member engagement, events, stakeholder management and project coordination, while developing a broad range of administrative and organisational skills.

At the Law Society, you'll be part of an inclusive and supportive environment where your contribution is valued. You'll have the chance to work on meaningful projects, develop your professional skills and make a direct impact on the delivery of services and engagement activities that support our members.

What's in it for you

We are looking for a proactive and organised Membership Engagement & Services Administrator to join us on a fixed-term maternity cover contract from December 2026 until January 2028.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with contemporary thinkers in a progressive membership organisation. The successful candidate will join a strong and collegiate membership engagement team and a brand with a reputation for excellence and legal expertise, committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, and a culture of trust, clarity, excellence and respect.

The role is office-based though we embrace hybrid working. We currently work to a team charter where we work together from the office two days per week, or more as needed. There is a generous flexible benefits package, a friendly and supportive working environment and the opportunity to develop your career within a professional organisation.

Interviews are likely to take place on 19th October 2026

Please note: if you are an internal applicant, Pay Policy will apply.
