The Role

The Law Society is the membership body for the legal profession. Our members are at the heart of what we do, and we're committed to providing ongoing support, training and events to assist them in their careers.

The Membership Operations Administrator is a new role and will be responsible for providing administrative support for membership business and operational processes and supporting the delivery of the Law Society’s membership engagement and stakeholder strategies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing membership applications and renewals, processing membership payments online via BACS and organise credit notes for refunds.

The candidate will also provide administrative support for membership onboarding and life cycle processes, including planning and enquiry handling and maintain and cleanse membership data via management systems, including Excel databases, Abacus and a CRM system.

The candidate will also provide regular reports and statistics on membership operations activities and performance against targets to assist with reporting processes.

What we're looking for

Any successful applicant will need proven administrative experience with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Power Point, Microsoft CRM and Dynamics 365.

The candidate will need to be able organise their own workload, prioritise effectively, work to tight deadlines and cope well under pressure.

The team is responsible for engaging with a large segmented professional audience within a membership organisation. The successful candidate must be able to confidently deliver high quality customer service, handle customer enquiries comfortably and have experience of processing membership applications.  They should also be able to use their initiative in a busy environment to assist members whilst also be an effective team player with the ability to develop positive relationships.

Comfort with a senior stakeholder audience as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy is also a must.
