The Role

The Law Society is the independent professional body for solicitors in England and Wales. Our members are at the heart of what we do and we're committed to providing ongoing support, training and events to assist them in their careers.
The Climate Change Resources Adviser will help the Law Society to lead the profession in tackling climate change.
The post holder will be responsible for analysing member insight and the current landscape to identify and meet the need for resources to help members operate in a way which is more sustainable for the climate.

What we're looking for

We are seeking an outstanding individual to fulfil the role of Climate Change Resources Adviser. This is a new fixed term contract role, created to deliver resources to members and is key to helping the Law Society deliver support to the profession.
You will have good working knowledge of climate change policy and best-practice, and the challenges facing different segments of the profession in tackling climate change. You will have experience of developing and implementing resource, content and product plans for different business segments. You will have the ability to build strong relationships with other colleagues across the organisation, and be able to analyse complex issues to assess their implications for the profession and the Law Society.

What's in it for you

We offer a generous flexible benefits package, a friendly working environment and the opportunity to develop your career within a professional organisation.

We believe in the benefits of a diverse workforce and strongly welcome applications from those currently under-represented in the organisation, including LGBT+ people, people with disabilities and people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.

Please note: if you are an internal applicant, Pay Policy will apply.

To apply, please submit a CV and supporting statement (no more than 500 words) clearly demonstrating how you meet the requirements of the role.

The Law Society represents solicitors in England and Wales. From negotiating with and lobbying the profession's regulators, government and other decision makers, to offering training and advice, we're here to help, protect and promote solicitors.
