The Role

The Law Society is the independent professional body for solicitors in England and Wales. Our members are at the heart of what we do and we're committed to providing ongoing support, training and events to assist them in their careers.
 
The Economic Recovery Policy Adviser will help the Law Society to shape the policy environment affecting our members' businesses, particularly post-lockdown economic recovery policy. 
 
The post holder will be responsible for influencing policy and developing content to inform members of related development and equip them to run t heir businesses effectively.

What we're looking for

We are seeking an outstanding individual to fulfil the role of Economic Recovery Policy Adviser. This is a new role, created to influence the economic policy environment and support members through the economic recovery. 
 
You will have a good working knowledge of the operating environment for law firm, the post-lockdown economic recovery environment, and the challenges facing different segments of the profession. You will have experience of working in a policy or business environment, and an understanding of how law firms are run. You will be able to analyse complex issues and assess their implications for the profession, and to develop strong relationships across the organisation with colleagues and our members.
