The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy small technical infrastructure team, helping to support the Law Society staff and its members. 

The role will involve maintaining and supporting network and cloud infrastructure across our main site based in London and a small office based at Cardiff.  You will also be involved in product improvements, project work that require infrastructure involvement.    You will liaise and collaborate with key stakeholders, operational teams, product teams and partners in implementing and supporting services.  

You will be joining a team where you will have autonomy on how systems are designed, secured and maintained.  You will actively contribute to identifying improvements we can make to our operational processes.

What we're looking for

We are looking for solid experience both on-prem and cloud Infrastructure, preferably Azure.
 
You will be responsible for building, designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting the organisation’s Azure cloud infrastructure and network estate.  You will be experienced in supporting and maintaining Azure environments.  You will have knowledge of implementing and supporting VM,SQL serverless, web apps, function & logic apps.    You will have experience of using Azure Dev Ops, building CI/CD pipelines and building resources using IaC.   You will have experience of using Github, terraform, Bicep and Powershell scripting.   You will be certified in Azure fundamentals and Azure Administrator (AZ104).  Experience of Azure AI would also be advantageous.   You will also have extensive experience of supporting on premise and legacy applications.

You will have technical experience of supporting Windows Server OS, SQL Server, Linux, Desktop, M365, D365, intune, Purview, Sentinel and Defender.  You will also have experience of network infrastructure and support, familiar with Cisco, Meraki, SD-Wan, WAF and Front door, ReCaptcha or Cloudflare technologies.   You will ensure services are fully optimised and supported and will be familiar with using and configuring improvements to even monitoring tools.  
 
The Senior Systems Engineer will work collaboratively with colleagues, sharing knowledge and innovative solutions to support the organisations strategic vision and objectives.   You will also be experienced in building and maintaining effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels and be able to work both pro-actively and reactively, often with minimal supervision and to tight deadlines.
